I’m Wilkin Hanaway, but some call me 'Wilks'. I'm passionate about growth, innovation, creation, and am continually inspired by balance, especially in nature, which I strive to reflect in my life and my work, whether I'm filming with a crew or I'm just a 'one-man-band'. It all began while growing up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, NC. I discovered my passion for art early on in life, which then developed into an interest in digital media. I remember the first time I got my hands on a camera and tried to create what I imagined but it never seemed good enough... and thus began my journey to continuously find/create authentic and engaging visuals. The first son of two doctors, I was also interested in science and realized that a technical approach and scientific process could be applied creatively in a way that helps artistic expression add functional value through effective engagement.
This awareness inspired me to learn about and try my hand at every position on a crew- from producing to editing and everything in between. I wanted to be able to constructively connect, communicate, and collaborate more effectively with every person, regardless of my role. To do that I knew I had to understand their process and how each piece of the process fits with the whole. So I did.

Then I'll put together a proposal outlining 2-3 options that fit your needs within your budget. Once we agree on the scope of work (SOW) for the project, we'll sign a contract, and you'll receive invoice for a deposit.
Clarity improves everything. Pre-production builds upon initial alignment call(s) for more clarity on everything from the overall message/intention to step by step shooting schedules, including pre-visuals, locations, crew, gear, props, even colors of light, etc.
It's AS IF this step is like adding nutrients to the soil around the seed that is your idea.
Production is when visioning, preparation, and teamwork come together, bringing life to what was once just an idea.
'Post production generally takes at least 2x the shoot time or 30-60 mins of editing for every minute of finished video. Meetings to align along the way continue to add clarity so minimal changes are needed. 1-2 revisions are generally included within the project scope. Beyond that, let's talk about it.
